$1 1846 PCGS MS64+

VERY HIGH END! Easily worthy of its + designation! Unusually lively surfaces have traces of light semi-prooflike mirrors. Overall, the surfaces look defect free. Only with a strong glass will you find a few scattered ticks or two. A strong luster coupled with reflective surfaces really enhances the totally original toning. Both sides have shades of rich (but not dark)  olive/gold/deep champagne/pale blue colors that blend together nicely all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 22, NGC 21, CAC 5. Only 3 coins are graded higher at PCGS. PCGS may have graded only 3 in MS64+. This coin also happens to be the last one sold in auction: 12/16 $28,200.00. Keep in mind, the last MS65 to sell brought $97,750.00-in 2005! A choice set in MS63/64 of  P Mint Seated Dollars would make an interesting project.
