$1 1864 PCGS PR65

This is  a fantastic piece from our nation’s Civil War era. Most important, this coin has deep mirrors that beam boldly from all over.The mirrors are clear, super clean, and offer the most intense reflection (critical for a GEM). Both sides are evenly bathed in a moderate and totally original deep golden brown/blue/pale magenta colors. The mirrors clearly beam though. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have crisp sharp strikes. The eye appeal is superb! ONLY 470 were ever minted. PCGS 17, NGC 13, CAC 4. PCGS has graded only 4 coins finer. The last one to sell in auction brought $28,200.00 08/2106. Prior to that, the last PCGS piece to sell (a non CAC) brought $34,075.00 03/2014. As you can see, these are much scarcer than the pops indicate. This coin will be a wonderful addition to ANY GEM Proof Seated, Type, or Civil War set. Have stuff or dupes? Trade them in for this GEM.
