$1 1889-S PCGS MS65 DMPL

If you covered the date, you would say it is an 1880S GEM DMPL-and a VERY high end one too!  When we first saw this coin our jaws dropped and locked (remember we have 35+ years of handling the very best DMPLs including the set of Jack Lee DMPL’s).  This coin is totally UNREAL! Full deep 8″+ mirrors fully beam from all over. There are NO weak areas of mirrors and in some places the depth actually might be 10″. A bare minimum of microscopic ticks are scattered around. This is NOT a hacked up coin. When you twirl the coin the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. Miss Liberty and every detail are not only fully struck, but are coated in a thick snowy white frost. Her cheek is remarkably clean and smooth. The eye appeal is amazing and is totally unforgettable. PCGS 4, NGC 1, CAC 2. PCGS has graded 3 higher (we strongly believe at least one is a duplicate). The last record of one selling in auction was from 07/2008. That was a NON CAC coin which brought $38,813.00. We have not seen or heard of one of these being offered in years. If you are building a serious GEM DMPL Collection is coin is not only a “must have”, it most likely also will be your ONLY chance to buy a true GEM PCGS CAC piece!
