McCLAREN COLLECTION. We normally cringe when we see this date as so many pieces in MS66 and especially MS67 are horribly graded. This piece not only was NOT sloppily graded, but it is HIGH END!
An unusually strong luster beams from both sides. The surfaces are surprisingly clean, smooth, and look like what you’d see on an 80S. The color is a pretty silvery white. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. There is only minor (and we mean minor) chatter on her cheek and neck-which prove this coin has NOT been messed with. In fact, take that away, the coin is a strong shot MS67. The eye appeal is great too. This is NOT your average 1896!
PCGS 610, NGC 543, CAC 38. PCSG has graded only 24 coins finer-most of which we do not like!
