This is a really nice example of a date and grade seldom seen in full DMPL.
We must warn you, there is some light golden brown toning sort of streaked about the obverse that can annoy a purist DMPL collector who seeks fully black and white. The mirrors are a full 8″ deep (maybe even a little more) and have tremendous clarity. They are also remarkably clean. When you twirl the coin you are nearly blinded by the flash. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is bold!
PCGS 38, NGC 39, CAC 6. Hard to believe but we found NO record of any PCGS CAC piece ever selling in auction. There are no accurate published prices. No matter what, this is a really nice example of date that comes weak and hazy mirrored most of the time.
