$10 1860-O PCGS AU55

$8,250.00

For an mid date O Mint piece, this coin is really sweet in quality! The surfaces do have a few tiny ticks scattered about, however NONE are big scuffs or stand out. The coin actually looks fairly clean. If you look closely at the coin you will actually see traces of semi-prooflike mirrors by the devices all over. There is a moderate luster. Both sides are clearly a totally original deep gold. The reverse has faint reddish gold highlights. There is no “dirty” toning or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are clearly above average in strike. All the wear is even and is super light. The eye appeal is actually fabulous! PCGS 17, NGC 29, CAC 2. This is a VERY rare and UNDERrated date in choice AU. NO PCGS CAC piece have ever been sold via auction. The Simpson Hall specimen was NOT CAC (and is NOT this coin) brought $6,168.00 back in our 06/2015 Regency Auction. For a coin like this to be CAC, you know it IS special. Opportunity knocks for the serious O Mint Collector!
