1C 1793 CHAIN AMERI PCGS XF 40 BLUE LAKE

Legend Numismatics is proud to start off the offering of the amazing Blue Lake Collection with this pretty nice XF Ameri Chain Cent. It is critical to note this coin has been off the market with the Blue Lake Collector for 17 years now. Overall, we find this coin to be very pleasing. Typical to all these early Large Cents, the planchet is slight rough-but NOT pitted. Using a strong glass you can see some tiny ticks scattered around. There is a light gloss of luster. Both sides are a deeper brown color. There is a dark patch on the head. Miss Liberty and the details are well worn but do not look flat. The eye appeal is actually very pleasing. PCGS 9, NGC 2, CAC 5. We cannot stress enough the extreme rarity of any AMERI Cent in decent shape. The last auction record for a XF40 selling was back in 01/2014 for $76,375.00. The NGC XF45 Newman coin just sold for $132,000.00 11/2017. We are pleased to offer this more then acceptable piece. It will fit nicely into any Large Cent Collection.
