1C 1800 PCGS MS64RB BLUE LAKE

This is a beautiful coin that we do consider solid for the grade. Think about this, its 218 years old and is extremely choice in quality. That is pretty mind boggling even to us! The surfaces have raised pieces of metal and do show some slight roughness-but that clearly is as made at the Mint. Overall, there are NO big hits or problems. A moderate luster can be seen. Both sides are a faded red brown color. We do believe this coin could have been light camel hair brushed long ago (in the copper world it is not a negative, and it is not like cleaning a silver coin). Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do standout. There is some interesting happenings in the letters at 12:00 on the obverse. The eye appeal is very pleasing. PCGS 2, NGC 0. The other coin sold for $56,400.00 03/2017. This coin has been off the market for well over a decade in the Blue Lake Collection (it was recently upgraded to the M65+ ex Pogue). These are NO coins higher that can be bought. Opportunity knocks incredibly loud here!
