1C 1800/1798 PCGS XF40 BLUE LAKE

The highlight of this coin is you do not need a glass to see the over date. The planchet is some what rough and there are a few ticks. Only with a strong glass can you see light porosity. We do think this coin was camel hair brushed a long time ago. There is a small shiny area on the portrait. There is a faint trace of gloss. Both sides are a deeper brown color. A small thin black streak can be seen on the obverse (probably Mint grease). Miss Liberty and the details  are very well struck. The eye appeal actually is okay. PCGS 5, NGC 4. The last auction record for one was back in 2008-10 full years ago!  There is no accurate pricing for this coin anywhere. The rarity of this date can NOT be over stated.
