1C 1812 SMALL DATE PCGS MS62+ BN CAC BLUE LAKE

VERY HIGH END. In fact, we think PCGS was way too tough on how they graded it-but we make NO promise it will ever go up. We think the coin has MS63+ technical features. The surfaces are remarkably clean and smooth. In fact if you use a strong glass and look really hard, you will only be more impressed. You actually can see some light original luster. Both sides are a pale brown/golden brown color. There re patches of darker stains -which are what we think keeps this coin from a full MS63 designation. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and do appear boldly. The eye appeal is nice! PCGS 10, NGC 1, CAC 1. PCGS has graded only this coin MS62+ BN with 13 higher. Obviously this coin has not appeared in any recent auction. Not even an MS62 BN CAC has ever been sold at auction either. Do not be fooled by the pops, this is a very rare date to find in MS. The Blue Lake Collector bought his coin in 2002 and has had it since replacing it only last year.
