1C 1821 PCGS AU58 BLUE LAKE

We would bet in the old days (pre 3rd part certification) this coin would have been called an UNC. Today grading is so pinpoint. This is a really great 1821 1C. Remarkable surfaces are clean over all. You can see a scattered tick or two, but they are tiny and are not all over. There are no lines or negatives on this piece. The surfaces are slightly glossy with some luster visible. Both sides are an original medium brown. unusual, there re NO stains, spots, or discolorations. The high points are unmolested.Miss Liberty and all of the details are well struck. The wear is so light you have to look hard for it. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 14, NGC 11, CAC 6. The last PCGS AU CAC piece to sell in auction brought $7,638.00 06/2017. Prior to that, the Koshkarian coin brought $9,988.00 02/2017.Keep in mind, this coin has been away with the Blue Lake Collector for many years-it is definitely NOT a retread or even close!
