1C 1848 PCGS MS64RD BLUE LAKE

Nifty near miss GEM! It is as original as you will ever see. Overall, the surfaces are pretty clean. There is a planchet flake that is actually hidden in front of the nose. A decent above average luster beams from all over. Both sides are a faded GEM Mint red with highlights of light original toning. This coin has NOT been messed with in any way. A few toning dots can be seen, there are no flecks. Miss Liberty and h details are very well struck. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1 (the CAC pop shows 2-it is this coin 2x). The last auction record for this coin is back in 2003-when the Blue Lake Collector bought it for $3,105.00.  Its obviously been with him ever since. There are a few in MS65RD, and the last one to sell (a NON CAC) PCGS piece brought $22,325.00 10/2015. Obviously, these are NOT easy to find!
