20C 1878 PCGS PR66+

What a superb and HIGH END coin. This is one of the very FINEST of all PR 20C and for the date! Outstanding deep mirrors glitter boldly from all over. The mirrors do offer great clarity, they are exceedingly clean, and are highly reflective. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look as smooth as glass. Both sides have totally original colors starting with navy peripheries around the rims. The centers deep champagne/purple/lavender colors. The reverse has some stunning blue. Miss Liberty and every detail are frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is superb! THIS IS A PROOF ONLY DATE. Mintage 600. PCGS 11, NGC 22, CAC 2. Not just for the date, for the series, PCGS has graded only 2 coins PR66+! Plus, PCGS has graded only 1 PR67 (which is CAC). Here is areal shocker: NO PCGS CAC PR66 (not +) has EVER sold via auction. Neither of the 66+ have ever been sold that way too. We cannot stress enough the great rarity of this obsolete series. when this coin is sold, good luck finding another!
