We can only find one small line that keeps this coin from being an MS66. We believe it should have been graded an MS65+ FH (PCGS in the end rules).
You know that when we call a coin VERY high end-it is! Overall, the surfaces are exceptionally clean. There is a small scuff on the reverse that is probably what keeps this coin a MS65 The luster is satiny. A thick ring of original pale reddish gold frames the peripheries and opens into golden centers. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and boldly stand out. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 159, NGC 90, CAC 26. The last one to sell in auction brought $2,233.00 08/2015. We paid more for this beauty!
