$3 1854 PCGS MS64+

This piece is a great first year example. The quality is easily high end. Excellent surfaces are very clean and smooth overall. Only using a strong glass can you detect a light frost break or two and a scattered tick or two. The surfaces do have a satiny texture. A strong glowing luster beams from all over. Both sides are a beautiful and totally original even gold color. There are not the slightest hints of spots or discolorations. Plus, this coin has never been dipped or messed with in any way. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is really nice! PCGS 149, NGC 87, CAC 31. PCGS has graded 16 in MS64+. The last one to sell brought $6,756.00 02/2016-prior to that one brought $9,987.50 011/2013.  An MS65 CAC would set you back at least $15,000.00 (if you could even find one). This date is NOT similar to the 1878 in price. An 1878 has 776 in MS64 and 48 in MS64+. This piece will be a great fit into any choice/GEM $3 or Type set.
