$3 1878 PCGS MS66 CAC EX POGUE

One of the few Pouge coins available today. This coin is more then worthy of inclusion of probably the all time finest Pre 1900 collections ever (they still did later sets like $3). We never ever see them like this any more. Why PCGS did not grade this a MS66+-especially based on looks is the 9th wonder of the world. PHENOMENAL sums up everything about this SUPERB GEM. It is super high end too. Mother Nature really  puts on one heck of a display here. Remarkable surfaces are semi satiny smooth and are exceedingly clean. Even using a strong glass there is really nothing to find. A killer booming satiny like luster beams from all over. The totally original colors really put on a show. Stunning shades of yellow gold mix with orange gold in a eye popping swirling pattern. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and are loaded with thick frost. The eye appeal is incredible! PCGS 70, NGC 39, CAC 9.  In Pogue this coin brought $17,625.00 as a non CAC (we did not buy it in Pogue, we did pay more). Since 2014, these have sold between $17,000.00-$21,000.00. We bet few if any looked this great. There really is NO premium added for the name-which actually down the road might be a a huge plus. Building a $3 or Type set?
