3CN 1871 PCGS MS67

Now this is an incredible RARE coin from what we feel is an unloved series. This coin however is in a stand out state of preservation! Just shy of sheer perfection, this coin is as clean and satiny smooth as you will ever see. Only with a powerful glass can you find a tiny hidden planchet flake on the obverse. For a 1871 3CN, the luster is booming (these generally do NOT come looking like an 80S Morgan).  The reverse has a faint hint of gold. Of course the coin has a moderate nickel color. All of the details are sharply struck and are covered by a delicate frost. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 2, NGC 3, CAC 2. The last record of the other coin selling-way back in 2005 (BEFORE CAC) it brought $12, 900.00. There are NONE graded higher anywhere. Apparently this will be the only coin available for some time. Think about this, 30+ years of operations and there are ONLY 2? THAT IS RARE! A coin like this should be $25,000.00, NOT $15,500.00…. This will not only be a great addition to a GEM 3CN Set, but it will be great for a better Type coin.
