3CS 1851-O PCGS MS66+

An amazing coin! Hard to believe this 166 year old piece from an obsolete Mint has survived in such a remarkable state of preservation.We can’t put this coin away! Some people think a + is meaningless-not in this coins case for sure! Moderate but flashy prooflike mirrors can be seen from across the room (no imagination needed). Overall, the surfaces are remarkably clean. Only with a really strong glass will find a tiny tick or two (that is all keeping it from full MS66).  Both sides look like Mother Nature worked over time on. A killer mix of totally original deep yellow/pale orange/reddish gold screams all over. Miss Liberty and every detail are thickly frosted and stand out with full pinpoint sharp strikes. The eye appeal is godzilla! PCGS 28, NGC 13, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only three coins MS66+, with NONE graded higher.
