WOW! This is a VERY HIGH END coin! Incredible smooth and mark free surfaces are spread all over. Even when using a strong glass you will NOT be disappointed in any way. A strong luster enlivens the no question original pewter/pale reddish gold/pale blue toning. Miss Liberty and every detail are loaded with frost and are fully struck. The eye appeal is superb! PCGS 5, NGC 5, CAC 3. The last PCGS piece to sell as a NON CAC. It bought $17,625.00. We bought his coin directly from a collector. It is fresh to the market for sure! 1817 is a grossly UNDERrated date in true GEM. We did sell the PCGS MS66 CAC we had listed for $38,500.00 in 24 hours of its listing-and we could have sold 2 more! We believe the new owner will treasure and enjoy this coin as much as we have (when it cameo back to us before too). What an addition to any GEM set!
