G $1 1851 PCGS MS65

WOW,WOW,WOW! This coin is FULLY prooflike! Actually the reverse is semi prooflike. On a 1851, we have never seen this. At first glance you actually think is this a proof? Upon careful inspection with a strong glas you do see the die polishing lines proving out it is MS.You can also see some light die grease stains under a glass. The luster is of course intense. This coin has not been dipped to make it look prooflike. Both sides are a deeper and totally original gold color. Miss Liberty and the details of course standout with fully struck and light frost.  The eye appeal is tremendous! PCGS 83, NGC 98, CAC 21. There are no real numbers to support a fully cameo prooflike GEM like this. Although it is interesting to note several NGC MS65 CAC’s have sold for $4-$5,500.00  since now and 2011.
