H.01 1793 PCGS XF40

Now for something different. It’s been a VERY long time since we have handled one of these. We do not just consider this an XF, we rank it a GEM XF! There is an old line in the left obverse field that is either an old cut or something as on the coin when it was struck. Hard to say-but it does blend in nicely and does NOT stick out. Overall, the surfaces are remarkably clean and  smooth. Both sides are a nice even original chocolate brown color. Miss Liberty and the details are a very well struck. The eye appeal is wonderful! PCGS 36, NGC 15, CAC 3. The last PCGS XF 40 to sell in auction was a NON CAC piece. It brought $20,700.00 back in 2010! Got that  2010! Do not be fooled by the pops, these do NOT appear with any frequency. This coin is housed in an older blue tag holder.  Opportunity knocks loud here!
