H.10 1794 PCGS MS65 ELIASBERG LM-3

Now this is a classic rarity with a tremendous pedigree-Louis Eliasberg. We have always liked this coin from the day we saw it in the original Eliasberg Sale back in 2006! This coin is high end and as GEM as a GEM can be. The surfaces are seriously pristine-even if you use a microscope you will find NO problems. In our opinion, after this coin left the Mint, over its 223 year existence it was never touch and has been carefully stored. A light luster brings out a little more of the colors. Totally original and deeper shades of navy cover the peripheries, while the centers are a deep lavender/champagne color. What blows our minds-the incredible strike. This is one of the few FULLY struck 1794 H Dimes we have ever seen!  You do NOT need a glass to see the details, they boldly stand out. In the original sale catalog, this coin was called a “”possible presentation strike”. It probably is not, but for sure, this is one heck of a 1794 Half Dime! The eye appeal is remarkable. PCGS 7, NGC 3, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only 3 (2 are MS65+) coins higher after 30+ years of operations. This coin last sold for $67,563.00 04/2105.
