J- 943 50C 1870 PCGS PR66 CAMEO EX SIMPSON

R-8. 1-3 Minted. Struck in aluminum with a reeded edge. One look and you will see why this masterpiece belonged in the greatest collection of patterns ever! The mirrors are superior to most you will ever see on an aluminum coin. The mirrors also have bold clarity, outstanding  cleanliness, and of course a killer reflection. The mirrors just could not be polished any better! Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frosting. There is a tiny planchet chip on her neck (it does NOT affect the grade or the eye appeal). The eye appeal is stunning! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is the FINEST ever graded. If this were a regular 1870 50C Proof in 66 CAC-it would be worth $10,000-$12,000. Here you have a coin with just THREE  known that is valued slightly less. Talk about a good deal!  Legend Numismatics bought this coin out of the Simpson sale for only $10,869.00 as we felt it was too cheap (we do NOT bid against our customers unless we are going to buy a coin, and then we wait to the end to bid). We don’t look to get rich and will flip it for a good deal. Last, this is a gorgeous example of a really cool design that never happened. You could offer $25,000.00 to buy another PR66 CAM CAC-and it simply can not happen!
