Considering this is from an Obsolete Mint from right around Civil War time, its pretty cool that this coin has remained is such a nice state of preservation!
You can clearly see semi-prooflike mirrors and tons of luster. There are numerous teenie ticks-but NONE are BIG or are detracting. The color is a gorgeous ORIGINAL deep yellow gold. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are amazingly struck. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 15, NGC 15, CAC 2. The last one to sell in major auction brought $6,900.00 07/2012 Heritage. These are definitely NOT easy coins to come nice!
