Absolutely clean surfaces dominate. Only when you use a strong glass can you find a small old scrape or two. These are well hidden and are not deep. The surfaces appear smooth too. A mellow glowing luster beams gently from all over. Both sides are superb GEM totally ORIGINAL colors of deep gold. This is one of those rare coins with what we call “skin”. There are no spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details have a amazing strikes for an AU (hard to find any wear). The eye appeal is incredible, the reverse almost looks like a MS64!
