1863/2 3C Three Cent Silver Type 3 PCGS PR64 (CAC)

This is a HIGH END and totally SUPERB example of a VERY RARE overdate. Found ONLY on Proofs.

Deep mirrors beam from all over. They have great clarity, cleanliness, and are highly reflective. only with a strong glass can you find light lines that keep this coin from a PR65 designation. There is a tiny planchet chip on the reverse mentioned for accuracy. Both sides are very lightly toned with an original coating of silvery gold. Every detail is sharply struck and does have a good coating of frost. The 3/2 is visible with a glass. The eye appeal is flashy and excellent!

ONLY 460 could have been minted. PCGS 14, NGC 5, CAC 3. This coin brought $5,405.00 10/2015 and has been off the market ever since. The current Collectors Universe value is $5,000.00. The rarity of this date is undisputed. Do not let the pops fool you-these do not appear with any frequency. No question the market has put this coin on sale. We feel this coin is valued way too cheap. If you’re building a choice PR 3CS set, this coin will be a killer great addition!
