1865 $3 Gold PCGS AU58 (CAC) SUPER RARE ONLY 1100 MINTED

It’s no secret we are HUGE fans of $3 Gold pieces-especially the dates with lower mintages. 1865 has a whopping 1100 minted! Thats not much. This piece is a superb survivor!

There is no visible wear. No question this coin has “original” skin and has never been messed with, There actually is a very decent luster. Just a few teeny ticks are visible under a glass-the coin actually looks clean overall. The color is a beautiful original deeper gold. Miss Liberty and the details have exquisite strikes. Her cheek is clean and has no discoloration on the highpoint. Plus, the details are lightly frosted.

This coin looks great! PCGS 16, NGC 20, CAC 5. CAC has beaned only 4 coins higher. Incredible stats! There has not been a PCGS CAC AU58 sold via auction since 2011-13 forever years ago! The current Collectors Universe value is some how only $19,000.00. We’d bet we would offer that an not buy another PCGS CAC piece.
