1868 $1 Dollar Liberty Seated, With Motto PCGS MS66+ (CAC) EX SIMPSON

Tied for FINEST known and more then worthy of that designation! The quality is unquestionably HIGH END!

Boldly semi-prooflike surfaces are exceedingly clean and sleek. Even if you use a strong glass, you will find NOTHING to displease you. You can clearly see the mirrors. The obverse is mostly original white with a band of original blue/gold/champagne colors highlighting the peripheries. The reverse enjoys totally original shades of green/gold. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted (there is strong contrast) and are well struck. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 2. PCGS has graded 2 in MS66+ with the other coin in Bruce Morlens old set. This is the FINEST 1868 that will be available for a very long time. There are NO auctions records. Somehow there is a Collectors Universe of $150,000.00-close but no cigar! Bob Simpson PAID $175,000.00 for this coin in 2011! ANY GEM MS Seated Dollar is SUPER rare! What an addition this will make to either a box of 20 or a Seated Dollar set!
