1884 $1 Dollar Morgan PCGS MS68 (CAC)

We know this coin came from a roll over 20 years ago and was the very first 1884 MSMS68 graded. They for sure were much tougher on dollars back then then they are today. This coin is a real MS68!

No question this is not a dipped out coin. It is 100% original. The ONLY imperfection (if you can even call it that) is a Mint Made grease mark in front of the nose. Otherwise, the surfaces are virtually flawless. Keep in mind, P Mints do not come as clean as S Mints. There is a very faint dusting of toning-but the coin is original white in appearance. The luster is strong too. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. Her cheek is exceedingly clean. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 3, NGC 2, CAC 1. There is NOTHING finder for an 1884. This coin last sold in 02/2022 for $66,000.00 (the auction image is not good-in hand this coin is all there plus). The current Collectors Universe value is only $62,500.00 (which in our opinion is too low). The current CDN WHOLESALE BID/ASK is $60,000.00/$72,000.00. We bought this super GEM really right. If you are a big time Morgan Collector who seeks the finest, then this is your 1884. PCGS has been in business almost forever now, and this is their finest 1884 Morgan!
