A very CHOICE AU piece. No question this coin got out into the world of circulation. At least its not beat up.
There are just a few very tiny and widely scattered ticks. No marks stand out. To the naked eye the surfaces look smooth. There is a touch of that “dirty” toning-just a touch. The color is a deeper original gold. No question this coin was never messed with. Much to our surprise, there is a decent luster. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. There are no discolorations from any wear. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 21, NGC 47, CAC 21. This is the lone PCGS AU58+. It sold in Fairmont for $16,200.00 back in 2022. Our customer purchased this coin directly from the sale. The current Collectors Universe value is $20,000.00. This coin will make a great addition to any AU CC set. Keep in mind, its been off the market for MANY years!
