1887 $3 Gold PCGS MS65+ (CAC) NOT A COMMON DATE
$27,500.00
We LOVE $3 pieces. We especially LOVE this coin! No question it is VERY HIGH END!
The surfaces are exceedingly clean. Only when using a strong glass can you find minimal and widely scattered tick or two (there are hardly any really). Traces of semi-prooflike mirrors can be seen. We very much consider this coin to be a “luster bomb”. That means the luster is so strong it nearly blinds you! Both sides are a GEM original even gold color. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are covered by a thicker frost and are fully struck. The eye appeal is phenomenal!
ONLY 6000 were minted. PCGS 27, NGC 14, CAC 4. PCGS has graded just 2 in MS65+. NON have been sold via auction. However a PCGS CAC MS65 last for for $25,850.00 03/2023. The current Collectors Universe value is $30,000.00. It should be noted, NO PCGS CAC MS 66 has ever been sold via auction. Do NOT think this is a “commoner” date-IT IS NOT. We feel this coin is more than worthy of ANY GEM $3 set or Type set. Check it out in GEM, you will see this coin date is seldom seen. You’ll LOVE this coin too!
