$1,250,000.00
Legend Numismatics has long considered the building of this set and the one we did for Bob Simpson (now broken up) one of the highlights of our careers. To find and assemble this set was a challenge that took years. There are only TWO Pan Pac Patterns in gold that were ever struck. We assure you, each coin has the full quality you’d expect from a set that was built by us. This set has been off the market for well over 20 years!
EACH COIN IS CAC AND HAS AN OLD BLUE TAG HOLDER.
This is a rare set indeed that also crosses the boundries of fitting into a Pattern Collection. It can go with a great Commem set or as a stand alone rarity. All coins have NO S Mint mark.
COPPER PCGS PR65RB. Listed as an R-8 (1-3 known). We have handed 2-3. We think its more like an R-7. Regardless, its friggen rare.
A no question totally original piece. The surfaces are extremely clean. There is light luster. The color is a rich original deeper brown (its really more of a brown).
We have handled 2 of these. This coin, and the PR 66 RB. We think 3 -4 exist. How cool is it to see a Pan Pac in copper? Collectors Universe has a value of $165,000.00.
SILVER: PCGS PR64 A no question R-8 (1-3 known). We know of another in a major collection, then there is the Simpson coin, and this one.
A VERY HIGH END coin (does it matter?). The surfaces are exceedingly clean. An arc of royal blue opens into deep champagne/pale auburn colors. No question as to this coins originality.
We have handed this and the PR65 Simpson coin. We do know of another in a major collection. Somehow, there is a Collectors Universe value of $135,000.00 for this coin.
GOLD: PCGS PR64. The creme de la creme of this set and of the Pattern world. ONLY 2 KNOWN. Included with this coin is the old NGC sticker.
We consider this coin to be a full GEM. Here too, does it really matter? This coin has it all-its clean, has some luster, and is spot free. The eye appeal is terrific!
ONLY 2 known. A true R-8. The Simpson coin-which is NOT CAC, sold for $750,000.00 in 2022. Sadly, they chose to break up the set. There is a collectors Universe value of $950,000.00 for this coin.
The total Collectors Universe value is $1,250,000.00-our sale price. You could offer to spend more and possibly never build the other set again. It is our strong opinion, these three coins as a set make up one of the greatest treasures in all of numismatics. We will NOT break up the set.
