1926-D $20 Gold St Gaudens Motto PCGS MS62 (CAC) EX FAIRMONT=REALLY NICE!

Do NOT let the words Fairmont spook you. We know our Saints. This coin is seriously HIGH END and looks great! It is NOT your typical Fairmont coin. We would not have purchased it if we did not love it!

Surprisingly clean surfaces reveal only occasional and ticks and a small bag mark or two. There is NOTHING that stands out. The luster is as strong and as we have seen for any 1926-D. For sure this is NOT a “dirty” coin, nor has it been dipped or messed with. The color is a soft original gold with thicker shades on the obverse peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have gentle frost. The eye appeal is wonderful-especially for this date that does not come nice!

PCGS 60, NGC 42, CAC 13. This coin sold for $26,400.00 08/2023. The current Collectors Universe value is $27,500.00. From what we know, all of Fairmont is now graded and there will be one more auction. The good coins like this are all out now. A 26D is one of the harder coins to locate in ANY choice condition.
