As you know, we only buy the + coins when they are really just about the next grade up. No question this coin is of VERY HIGH END quality!
Sensational satiny smooth surfaces have a light frost break and NO serious problems to be found anywhere. There is one small scuff on the right reverse. The luster is strong and really glows from all over. Both sides are an even deeper ORIGINAL mellow gold color. All of the details are frosty and have bold strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 315, NGC 399, CAC 84. PCGS has graded only 27 MS64+. The last PCGS CAC MS64+ to sell in auction brought $24,675.00 06/2019 with the one before it bringing 25,850.00 04/2017. The pops really do not show how hard to find these are. Keep in mind, the next step up one sold for $69,000.00 01/2020.
It is our opinion MS64/65 pieces pieces have dropped a little too hard in price over the last year (nothing is guaranteed). We like the series a lot right now for building 64/65 sets.
This coin is fresh to the market and has been away for over a decade!
