The grade on this coin really should be an MS65++++! Mother Nature teamed up with the numismatic gods here.
Exquisite surfaces have no flaws and are super smooth. Even when using a strong glass you are only more impressed to see not even the tiniest spec. A surprisingly strong luster beams boldly from all over. Beautiful peripheries of original gold/reddish gold/violet blend into marvelous colors of blue/green/purple. Mother Nature did a great artistic job here. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is heart pounding!
PCGS 17, NGC 28, CAC 8. In 1/2020 one sold for $14,400.00. Go look at the pics, the coin offered here has far more color and frankly blows it out of the water! It is also very surprising to find out PCGS has only graded possibly 4 coins higher.
This is a magnificent 187 year old GEM that not only is well preserved, but it has gorgeous colors! We never ever see this date looking this fantastic!
