$1 1879 TRADE PCGS PR66 CAMEO EX SIMPSON

From the D.W. COLLECTION that Legend Rare Coin Auctions sold in October.  One look and you can tell this is an exceedingly SUPER HIGH-END GEM. It was bought in 2010 by the DW Collection owner. It has never been in for regrade (stupid us, we had it imaged it only). We  originally sold it to Bob Simpson and it was part of his finest ever PR TD set originally. Deep and booming mirrors beam from all over; they are seriously clean, have amazing clarity, and are nearly blinding with reflection. When twirled, they give off that deep “watery” rolling look. A gentle shade of reddish gold frames parts of the peripheries. Miss Liberty and every detail are pinpoint sharp in strike and have thick frost.
