50C 1887 PCGS PR67+

What a mind boggling stunning borderline PR68 coin! We sold this to a very picky collector who also has extremely high standards for his coins to be vividly toned. This coin has been off the market since 2011. Now this coin is pure Legend quality! Intense super deep mirrors really beam boldly from all over. They have amazing clarity, are perfectly clean, and are nearly blinding in reflection. The mirrors looks like freshly made glass. A neon like mix of totally original royal blue/amber/purple/pale tangerine colors dominate both sides. Mother Nature sure did some great work here. Miss Liberty and the details are super frosted and have bold full strikes. The eye appeal is incredible! ONLY 710 were minted. PCGS 1, NGC 4, CAC 5. This is the ONLY PR67+ graded and is the FINEST 1887 Proof graded at PCGS. This coin last sold back in 2011 for $16,100.00. That an ice age ago! We hardly ever see any GEM Proof Halves as vividly toned as this any more. This is a great coin to put away-especially at the current levels.
