$1 1897 PCGS MS65

First, its very rare to find a date like this with any rainbow color-which this coin does have. We’re not fully convinced this coin is bag toned, it maybe paper toned. Regardless, it is one beautifully colored 1897!

We grade the colors MS66.3 (remember this is an 1897, not a 81S). An intense luster shows off clean and bold semi-prooflike surfaces. The obverse has a cascading color sensation of navy/violet/deep blue/gold. The reverse has a mix of blue/green/lime/gold/pale violet colors. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal of Joe Cool is fabulous!
