PAN PAC COMPLETE SET WITH COPPER FRAME
$275,000.00
This is the first time we have ever had the opportunity to offer one of these grand sets for sale publicly. We have bought and sold several sets over the years (including the very first PP set ever minted). This set is truly exceptional in every respect. First, CAC totally agrees with us that this is a terrific NON messed with group of coins (you don’t know how rare that is). Each coin IS CAC stickered. We won’t submit these coins to PCGS because there grading of them is unrealistic-and now the CAC sticker alleviates that issue (we doubt there are still any GEM coins left in PCGS holders).
The quality of each coin is 100% and then some all there. The highlight coin is clearly the GEM Round. Yes, it IS at true MS 65 by anyones standards. The grades are as follows:
50C NGC MS65. Beautifully colored. Crisply struck. Great luster.
G $1 NGC MS64. Problem free. Nice even gold color. Good luster.
G $2.5 NGC MS65. Looks like the G $1! Nice satiny surfaces have an even gold color.
$50 Octagonal NGC MS64. Its so refreshing to see one of these that doesn’t have wax on the face or thumbing of some sort. There are NO visible problems. The color is an even gold-like all the other coins. All of the details are well struck.
$50 Round NGC MS65. The monster coin of the set! This is a really solid MS65 that is NOT messed with! We can NOT stress enough the great rarity of that alone! The color, luster, and looks of this giant coin are all there. Take our word on it, CAC is extra picky about these coins knowing that PCGS wants 65’s to be 66’s. Plus, they are well aware of all the screwing around done to them. The last GEM NGC MS 65 Round sold at auction (in 1/07 fetched $115,000.00).
This truly is one special GEM set. We can’t quite confirm it, but we do feel it is an original set. The grades are all correct and the coins do match well. We are proud to be able to offer this set to our customers.
