$5 1839 NGC AU58

We could never find any of these we really liked. They typically come scratched up, dirty, and just plain ugly. This piece is not. In fact it is hard to tell exactly why this coin is not Mint State.

Both sides are above average in cleanliness. The wear is light and there is no discoloration on the high points. Both sides are a deep yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. This is a perfect piece to add to any high end $5 Collection or Type set. PCGS 11, NGC 31.
