As with all the coins in the Pickering Collection, this piece is nice for the grade. The collector who assembled the set was very picky and would just not add any coin to the set
Overall, this coin is clean and looks smooth. Just a few tiny ticks can be found using a strong glass. A moderate luster enhances even and medium “old time” toning of olive/gunmetal/navy/pale golden brown colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 3, NGC 4. NGC has graded only one coin higher, while PCGS has two-the finest being an MS66.
