A VERY underrated and undervalued date! Virtually unheard of in choice MS.
Solid for the grade. both sides exhibit numerous small ticks-and nothing more serious or detracting. An intense luster lights really makes the orange gold color glow. There are NO spots or discolorations. Most important, even though this coin is a little ticky, it has NOT been messed with in ANY way! Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have bright thick frost. The coin does look great!
Just 5000 were minted. PCGS 4, NGC 10. Only PCGS has graded a single coin higher-an MS63. The last one of these to appear in a major public auction brought $46,013.00 in 10/08 Heritage.
