$1 1799 PCGS MS64 EX FLANNAGAN

Our goal is to never let this coin out of our grasp. This monster of an MS64 Bust Dollar is one of our all time favorite coins. From the time we first place it with our dear friend Phil Flannagan (back in 1998) until now, this coin has remained one of the VERY best we have EVER seen! We did send it to PCGS for their new program and they did not + it. We have no hesitation to say they were wrong, VERY wrong. Anyway, if you collect Bust Dollars or need one for your Type set, THIS IS the coin you want!

To start, this coin is totally ORIGINAL. Using a strong glass, the worst thing you can detect are a few wispy light scattered lines. There are NO hits or other problems. Certainly nothing is visible to the naked eye. A strong luster shows off the fully ORIGINAL “old time” attractive colors of blue/champagne/pale gold on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 9, NGC 16, CAC 1. Only PCGS has graded 5 coins higher. In this market we have not seen any great Bust Dollars offered.
