In our opinion, a GEM Matched ORIGINAL set of ANYTHING is a true rarity and is UNDER-valued today. So many sets have been broken up that so few survive intact. You certainly do NOT see MATCHED ORIGINAL 1939 Ark sets offered much-if at all in a year.
One look and you know all 3 coins have stayed together since they left the Mint. Each coin is a true MS65+. The surfaces are all smooth, super clean, and even have an above average luster. A light to moderate mix of champagne/pale lavender colors evenly cover both sides. This is NOT a dull coin. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is VERY pleasing!
The 1939 Arks have one of the LOWEST mintage with just 2100 sets made. We estimate LESS than 100 survive intact in GEM. The lowest graded date is the P with just 145 in MS65 by PCGS.
We strongly believe these are too cheap in today’s marketplace. Opportunity pounds here!
