J- 140 1852 G $1 PCGS PR65

$11,500.00

This coin is a R7 (4-12 minted). It is struck in copper nickel. No question this is an original GEM!

Can’t comment on a whole lot of surfaces on this cool ring dollar. Both sides are clean overall. A few small patches of toning can be seen. The luster is surprisingly decent. Every detail is crisp and sharp in strike. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. The last one sold in a major auction was a PCGS PR64. It brought $9,200.00 in 2008 07/08 Stacks. No 65’s have been to auction over the past 12+ years! Both the Judd book and CU values this coin at $12,000.00 in PR65. We think that is too low, but then other than this coin NONE have sold. Opportunity knocks loud on this rare and historical RING DOLLAR!
