Boldly semi-prooflike mirrors and a powerful luster give this coin surprising flash. Under a glass, you can detect a few very teenie hits. Overall, the coin does appear clean. both sides are covered by a beautiful yellow gold color. There are No spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck-for a 1840 (there is normal flatness on the eagles left leg). The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin last appeared in auction 10/10 where it sold for $29,900.00 Heritage. Why this coin isn’t worth $50,000.00 remains a mystery to us. After 25+ years PCGS/NGC certainly have seen NONE finer! And if this coin weren’t all there and then some, CAC would not have stickered it.
