5C 1927 NGC SP 65 DAKOTA

$57,500.00

Yes, this is really a Satin Finish Proof (Specimen) 1927 Buffalo! It is one of the neatest Buffaloes we have ever seen and owned! It is believed to be Ex Sinnock estate (the Mint engraver)

Compared to a regular 1927, this coin boldly stands out as different. First, the rims are thick-thicker than on most earlier proofs (they are clearly knife like). The surfaces are clearly a thick Satin Proof texture. Old 1913 Matte Proof dies were used for the reverse. No question this coin is totally original. It is nickel with a pale gold hint. There are NO spots. of course every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is mind boggling!

This is not just some fantasy piece a dealer got a grading service to holder. There is proof these do exist and were specially minted. It is known 3 of them were graded by NGC years ago all at the same time-from the same source. If you go to COIN FACTS and look at the image of the lone PCGS piece, you’ll see this coin is identical.

PCGS 1, NGC 3, CAC 1. The lone PCGS piece sold for $47,150.00 04/2009 Heritage. of course it is parked in the #1 all time set. We can’t stress enough what a tremendous opportunity this coin represents to any Buffalo Nickel collector.
