1C 1915 PCGS PR66+RD

$16,500.00

From time to time the secret “copper weenie” in us comes out when we see really neat copper pieces to buy. This coin certainly is one of the neatest Matte Pr of Lincolns we have ever seen!

First, there is absolutely NO question about this coins originality or it being GEM Mint Red. The surfaces are pretty much “as struck”. Only with a really strong glass can you see a few teenie toning dots have developed. There is a small mark in the right field-but its clear it was made at the time of minting. The luster is natural and is surprisingly strong. The color is a GEM slightly faded Mint Red (no, its turning). Lincoln and all of the details are pinpoint sharp in strike. Its so refreshing to see one of these that is not processed. The eye appeal is boldly impressive!

PCGS 5, NGC 0, CAC 2 (ALL). This is the ONLY PR66+ RD graded. PCGS has 2 in PR67RD (neither are CAC). The last PR66 RD to sell in major auction auction was a NON CAC piece. It sold in 02/08 for $11,500.00 Heritage. We can’t stress the important opportunity this coin represents especially since it is not a retread or was messed with.
