A GREAT SHOW!
This CSNS show is the way big shows should be. Only FUN is comparable. We’ll be back and we believe the 600+ dealers in attendance at this show will be looking forward to the next CSNS as well.
There was a blizzard of white slabs (NGC) at the show. EVERY major wholesaler had just about 80% white holders. PCGS has been on a super tight streak leaving volume submitters looking for other avenues. BUT they have run into a wall of soft sales and soft prices for these coins. Many collectors, especially those collecting the finest, prefer PCGS/CAC graded coins. Full stop. Our advice to them is to stay the course and continue to seek out only PCGS/CAC coins. You might have to be patient to find the coins you need, but they will eventually appear. Important: BUY EYE APPEALING COINS. The prettier the coin, the more it will appreciate down the road-does not matter if it is gold, nickel or any type.

ACTIVITY FROM START TO FINISH
Dealers used to show up at shows mid Tuesday afternoon. Today, if you’re not there by Monday morning, you will be missing out on fresh coins. Dealers race for these fresh coins is more fierce than ever. We got really lucky and three deals walked up to us at dealer set up. One in particular was gorgeous 50C 1822 PCGS MS67 CAC (green tag). We gladly paid six figures for it. The other deals involved groups of coins including David Akers personal 1909-S VDB PCGS MS66+ RD CAC ( we feel it’s the best one out there). It’s been a very long time since we have been offered fresh coins.
We were off to the races. The very first dealer spent over $156,000.00 with us! In MANY cases, we got more for coins than what we had them listed on our website! When we tell you a coin is really fairly priced-we mean it. The quality we offer is better than most. What remains hot: GOLD! Type coins can be a little hit or miss in the $5,000.00 to $25,000.00 range. Our motto these days remains, “if it’s gold, its sold”. We are getting extreme prices even for commoner $20 Saints in 66 CAC. Collectors seem to be stocking up on them. Of course, better gold still enjoyed crazy strong demand. The market is very good right now even with short supply of PCGS/CAC coins. We think it will only make PCGS CAC coins worth more. We probably bought a dozen zesty PCGS CAC coins on the floor.
Our “super secret stealth seller” was all grins Wednesday afternoon as he passed $1 million in sales. Considering he sells soup to nuts and mostly NON-CAC, that is incredible. He could very well end up at $1.5 million.

We are only posting a few of the NEWPS we bought at CSNS. We have to process the coins into our inventory and image some of them. Next week we will have even bigger offering. Stay tuned!
