1909-D $5 Gold Indian Head PCGS MS65+ (CAC) VERY HIGH END

We love the series in GEM, and we saw this coin and had to own it too. The quality is VERY HIGH-END for sure.

Overall, the coin is very clean. There is one tiny, thin scratch HIDDEN from the headdress to the rim on the obverse. Again, it is HIDDEN. That is all that keeps this coin from being MS66. The reverse is remarkably clean-even the right field. A strong luster beams all over. Both sides are a GEM original, a deeper gold color. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 163, NGC 104, CAC 17. PCGS has graded 7 in MS65+. The last PCGS CAC to sell via auction brought $19,200.00 in 06/2024. The current Collectors Universe value is $22,500.00. We feel VERY strongly that ALL MS65 and higher PCGS CAC $5 Indians are UNDERvalued. The populations may look large, but when you are seeking a PCGS CAC piece, the numbers radically shrink! This coin is priced really right too.
